Selecting a Refrigerator
One of the other appliances we'll have to replace in our household is the refrigerator because of a lightning strike. Selecting this can be a difficult task. What style do you want, Top-Freezer, Bottom-Freezer, Side-by-Side, Built-in. As we proceed through the selection process with insurance and who we'll select a new refrigerator the information will be posted.

Still waiting for the insurance process to be complete so we haven't jumped to far ahead regarding selecting a new refrigerator. Although I think we're learning towards a bottom freezer style.
As w/ my last post the insurance company is still processing the paper work. With Tropical strom Noel gliding by Florida's East coast it is becoming a night-mare to keep the tarp on the roof. Plus our household appliances do not operate correctly after the lightning strike. Anyways we'll keep moving forward and provide all the information as new mile-stones have are reach.
Right now we're still making due w/ our Fridge in the garage while waiting for the insurance company to process the paper work. Hopefully soon we'll be able to begin the purchase process for that household appliances. Especially with the holidays right around the corner.
We've really stopped browsing for ktichen appliances until the insurance company lets us know how all the details. The claim is still being processed by the adjusters. Wow, this is taking a long time to complete.
Finally a new update for this specific topic. We've received the the funds to replace the household appliances destroyed after the lightening strike. One of which is the fridge. This weekend we'll be on a mission to find the best for our needs. Currently we have 22 Cubic inch model but I think we'll be searching for one slightly larger. Not sure is we'll select Stainless, White, or black. Have check out the prices. More to come.
A refrigerator is a common household appliance that consists of a thermally insulated compartment and a heat pump that transfers heat from the inside of the fridge to its external environment so that the inside of the fridge is cooled to a temperature below the ambient temperature of the room. Cooling is a popular food storage technique in developed countries. Lower temperatures in a confined volume lowers the reproduction rate of bacteria, so the refrigerator reduces the rate of spoilage.
